The Brief
Veezu were setting up a new main office in Cardiff. They were using Google Meet and needed the new meeting rooms to be set up using Google Meet. In all there were seven rooms to be enabled for one touch meetings. These included a large boardroom, another large meeting room, a training area, and three small meeting rooms.
On top of the meeting room requirements they needed another 25 display screens to keep all their office teams updated. Finally in the main reception area they needed a large videowall display.
Our Solution
For these Google Meet systems we standardised on Logitech systems with a Chrome Google Meet compute and Logitech TAP and Swytch to allow easy presentations and BYOD meetings.
For the boardroom we used the Rally Plus system with PTZ camera, two 86″ display screens and two expansion microphones on the boardroom table. We needed to use the Logitech strong USB 10m cable to connect the screen area to the table.
The small meeting rooms suited the Logitech MeetUp, again with the Google Meet system. This means you can join a meeting with a single touch on the TAP control touch screen.
Although the rooms are small they have high ceilings and substantial reverberation so we added the MeetUp expansion microphones for better speech pickup.
There are a number of ways to control a videowall. After some discussion with Veezu we opted for a fully flexible controller with 9 inputs and 9 outputs. This means they can put up to 9 different images on the whole display at one time and each image can be resized and positioned at will.
Of course you can just show one large image over the whole wall.
Based on cutting edge PCI express technology, the SEADA SW-Pro controllers provide excellent performance and flexibility for video wall applications, supporting video walls with features of KVM, input preview, on screen scrolling text and so on.
