Ogi is on on a mission to power-up life online in communities across Wales. Ogi is installing a next generation Gigabit-capable digital network in the towns and villages we call home. Giving local families and businesses great value ultrafast services, from a Welsh team.

They have recently moved their head office into Hodge House in the centre of Cardiff. Drake AV were briefed to design, supply and install their AV systems.

The Ogi control room needed their technicians to be able to view all aspects of their fibre network. A flexible videowall was the solution chosen. The overall display measures 3.5m by 2m and is built of 9 high definition monitor screens designed for 24/7 operation.

To give the flexibility that Ogi required Drake AV used AVoIP technology. This means Ogi can locate a transmission device anywhere on their network and choose how to display that image on their video wall. It can cover the whole 9 monitor array with a single image or it can be shown on just one of the screens. There is in fact a tenth display in their office which can also be set to display the content from any of their source systems.

Ogi are using Microsoft Teams throughout their organisation and they needed to equip their meeting rooms with an easy way to communicate with their teams.

Drake AV installed Microsoft Teams Room systems in both rooms. This means anyone can walk into the room and join a booked meeting with just one touch.

Ogi are so happy with the way these work that they have put two more matching systems in their other offices.

For the videowall we used LG videowall screens with a bezel gap of just 3.5mm. mounted on pop out mounts to allow for service access. The ATEN AVoIP devices have built in webserver control so no additional control devices are needed and the system is able to send up to 4k video.

We chose Yealink for the Microsoft Teams Rooms. In the boardroom there is a UVC84 pan, tilt, zoom camera with the MTouchII touch control console and VCM-36W wireless microphones.

In the smaller meeting room we used the UVC40 camera/soundbar.

Both rooms have the WPP20 wireless presentation device.
