Starting with Covid, Bethel church has been streaming it’s services over Zoom so everyone who wanted could still feel a part of the church.  This means anyone who is ill and unable to get to the service can still be involved.

The church has an adjoining room for the children and they wanted the service to be relayed so the children and the adults in there could also share in the services.

We installed a Pan, Tilt, Zoom camera at the rear of the church, above head height, to give a clear view of the whole church. This camera has preset positions so it can easily show the whole church or focus on the minister leading the service.

How is it controlled?

We supplied an ATEM mini switcher – which is like a television mixing desk. This takes the video feeds from the camera, as well as any images, hymns and PowerPoint from a laptop. At a touch you can select any of these sources.  You can also generate a ‘picture in picture’ so the minister is superimposed in the corner of  the words of the hymn.

We also added a small audio mixer and a video matrix switcher. The end result is that you can show the hymn words only on the main screen. At the same time sending the ‘picture in picture’ view to the other room and to the Zoom stream. Or you can show a video from the laptop to everyone.
